Tournament Format


U9 Division

The U9 Division consists of 2 pools comprised of 3 teams each.  Each team will play the 3 teams from the other pool to seed themselves. Seeding will be based on the points system, whereas 1 point is awarded for winning a period, and 2 points are awarded for winning the game. Each game is worth 5 points in total with a bonus point being awarded for winning a game with a shutout. 

Teams will be ranked after 3 round robin games.  The top 4 team will advance to the semi-finals; with the 1st place team playing the 4th place team and the 2nd place team playing the 3rd place team. The winner of each semi final game will proceed to the Championship game.

 


U11, U13, U15 Divisions
There are 2 Pools of 4 team each for each of the divisions.  Each team will play the 3 teams from their pool to seed themselves. Seeding will be based on the points system, whereas 1 point is awarded for winning a period, and 2 points are awarded for winning the game. Each game is worth 5 points in total with a bonus point being awarded for winning a game with a shutout.

 

Teams will be ranked within their pool after 3 round robin games with the 1st and 2nd place team from each pool proceeding to the semi finals.  The 1st place team from one pool will play the 2nd place team from the other pool.  The winner of each semi-final game will proceed to the Championship game.

 


U18 Division
There are 2 Pools of 5 team each for each of the divisions.  Each team will play the 2 teams from their pool and 1 crossover game to seed themselves. Seeding will be based on the points system, whereas 1 point is awarded for winning a period, and 2 points are awarded for winning the game. Each game is worth 5 points in total with a bonus point being awarded for winning a game with a shutout.

 

Teams will be ranked within their pool after 3 round robin games with the 1st and 2nd place team from each pool proceeding to the semi finals.  The 1st place team from one pool will play the 2nd place team from the other pool.  The winner of each semi-final game will proceed to the Championship game.
