Novice Rep, 2016-2017 (Dresden Minor Hockey)

Congratulations to the Novice Reps who won the 'B' Championship at the Gord Hymers Novice Tournament in Listowel this past Saturday! The team competed in 3 games during the one day event, winning their first game against South Bruce and losing their second game narrowly in overtime to Central Perth before winning the B final 4-3 against Wallace. The team played very well together and put in an excellent effort in all 3 games.  Great job also to Kurtis S. (player) and Kyler V. Just a reminder that the times have been changed slightly for the next two Novice Rep Practices; Tuesday, January 10th from 7:45-8:25pm Tuesday, January 17th from 6:20-7:00pm 

The coaching staff would like to congratulate all the players on a great effort this week at the Regional Silver Stick in Parkhill. Despite losing our first two games the team battled back with a big win in game 3 to qualify for the quarter finals and although losing to the top seeded team all of the players competed extremely hard until the final buzzer and should be very proud of their effort. This was a great learning experience as we prepare to begin playdowns in January. Keep up the great work Novice Reps!

Reminder to all Novice Reps, our practice this week has been switched to Friday 4:30pm-5:50pm.  

Thanks to all the Novice Rep players and their families for a great day of hockey and fun in celebration of Dresden Minor Hockey Day on Saturday. The team continued their great play from last weekend's tournament in Dorchester and showed lots of determination in a thrilling come from behind tie against Southwest. They displayed more of the same on Sunday as well which resulted in an exciting 2-1 win. Congratulations to all of the players on an excellent weekend of hockey, keep up the great effort!
