PeeWee Rep, 2014-2015 (Dresden Minor Hockey)

The Peewee Rep team faced Wallaceburg Saturday at home in their first round robin playoff game. After a bit of a slow start, the team pulled together and came away with a 3-1 win. They will be at home again this Saturday to play the Lambton Shores Predators.

The Peewee Rep team began their Silver Stick tournament this weekend in Watford. Their morning game saw them playing the Lucan Irish. After displaying some great teamwork, the end result was a 4-0 win. Their evening game against the East Lambton Eagles was a close one with the scoreboard remaining at 0-0 until the third period. After giving up one goal the team fought back hard to come away with a 2-1 win. This placed them in the 2nd seed position after round robin and they will play again Dec 27th in Watford against the 7th seed, the West Lorne Comets. The winning weekend continued ...

This past weekend saw the Peewee team playing 4 games on Saturday in Belmont. After a first place finish in Round Robin with 2 wins and a tie the team went on to the championship game against the Belmont home team. The boys played hard but playing their fourth game in 9 hours caught up to them and they were unable to defeat the "fresh legs" of the home team. They will have their chance at redemption when Belmont travels to Dresden this Saturday for a regular league game. The Peewee team played two really good games this past weekend. On Dresden Minor Hockey Day the battle was with the Southwest Bullets. The game ended with no score as both teams fought hard to secure first place in their division. On Sunday, they travelled to Chatham for an exhibition game against the Chatham Peewee AE team. After a back and forth game they managed to come home with a 4-3 win. The team travels to Belmont this Saturday for a one-day tournament and to Mooretown Sunday for a regular season game.
