Mason Berubé Rules and Regulations
1. All games must be played under OMHA rules.
2. All players and team officials must sign-in before tournament.
3. Games consist of three 10-minute periods. There is overtime, if required.
4. Points will consist of:
· Two points for a win
· One point for an overtime loss
· Zero points for a regulation loss
5. A three-minute overtime consisting of 4 on 4, sudden victory. If still tied after overtime, each team will receive 1 point.
6. If there is a tie in the round robin, the tie breakers are in the following order:
· Lowest goals against
· Most goals for
· Fewest penalty minutes
· Flip a coin
7. Format for Atom Division
· The 3rd place team from Pool A will play the 3rd place team from Pool B for consolation
· 1st place team of Pool A will play 2nd place team of Pool B. 1st place team from Pool B
will play 2nd place team of Pool A
· Winners of these games will play in the Atom Final
Format for Peewee Division
· All teams in each Pool play everyone in the opposite Pool
· The winner of Pool A plays the winner of Pool B in the Final.
Format for Atom and Midget Division
· All teams play everyone in their own Pool
· The winner of Pool A plays the winner of Pool B in the Final.
8. If overtime occurs in the finals, there will be a five-minute sudden victory overtime period consisting of
4 on 4. If there is no scoring, a sudden victory shoot-out will occur using the game sheet
top to bottom for shooting order.
9. A 30 second time-out per team will be awarded for the finals only.
10. If a team is winning by five or more goals at anytime during a game, play will continue with run time.
If penalties occur during run time, they will be 3 minutes in length.
11. Teams should be ready to play 30 minutes ahead of their scheduled start time. Games will
start early.
12. All protests must be submitted to the Tournament Committee 30 minutes
following the game. The Tournament Committee ruling is final
13. Any questions or concerns should be directed to the Tournament Committee.
