Bantam LL, 2017-2018 (Dresden Minor Hockey)

As we enter the second stage of the season, I look at the standings and see that everyone is currently tied for first place.  I also look at my excel spreadsheet and see that everyone is currently tied for the team lead in points.  What this means is that starting tonight, we all start with a fresh sheet of ice.  Let's focus on playing some good fun hockey through the playoffs and our own Kinsmen Cup tournament!

The boys did not play there best game and lost 9-0 to Wallaceburg 1.  They are now off until December 30th when we are at home.   Hopefully a break will do the boys good and we can get on another winning streak.  The coaches still believe that we are a top 3 team if we all "buy in" to what the coaches are suggesting.   Come ready to compete next game.  Have a Merry Christmas to all of you and your families. The boys came out and played 2 great games over the past weekend.  On Saturday the were up 2-0 on goals by Alex Strevel and Braydon Houston.  The third period saw Wallaceburg 2 come back and take a 3-2 lead.  The boys pressed hard in the final minutes but could not notch a goal to tie it.  Well played boys. On Sunday they travelled to Ridgetown to play 3rd place South Kent.   4 goals by Houston was more than enough to overpower South Kent in a 8-5 road win.  Daniel Grand had 2, Cole McCutcheon and Sam Sherman also scored.  The team is currently tied for 3rd with South Kent with a game in ...

We continue on our win streak with a big win over Mooretown 6-2.  Devon Hart played awesome in net for the win.  He was the game star for the Kings.   Daniel Grant and Cam Sinasac each had 2 goals.  Emerson Robinson and Braydon Houston each chipped in with one each.  It was a solid team effort once again in a penalty filled affair.  Keep it up boys as we have a full team back now and play 2 big games this upcoming weekend.  Coach Dwayne
