PeeWee White, 2016-2017 (Dresden Minor Hockey)

Lucy (Swampy) was crowned Jr. King (Queen) of the game today. She was one of few bright spots in an 11-2 WHOOPING from the Maroon team. She created a few turnovers at their blue line which led to scoring chances. Great job Swampy. Honorable mention to Emerson who also played well today. On behalf of Peewee White I would like to thank Liz Gibson for putting the Basket together and all the parents for their generous donations. Thanks to the Hockey Moms for their hard work in organizing another great Minor Hockey Day.

It was a rough one in Mooretown last night as expected. We lost the game 10-5 but not for lack of trying. Everyone played hard every shift. Daniel had 3G 1A. Gawnezo had 1G 1A. Ty 1G. Ian P and Corky rounded out the scoring with  2 A each. As we all know the Mooretown Orange team has 1 kid (#10) on their team. Ty was asked by the coaching staff to cover him every shift he was on the ice. He did a remarkable job in the first period holding him to 1A. He proved to be too much to handle later in the game. What a rough battle in Mooretown vs the Black team. Dresden had a 4-3 lead and Mooretown scored to tie it just as curfew expired. It was a battle from start to finish. Both Goalies played great. Gawnezo was crowned Jr. King of the game as he scored all 4 goals andadded an assist. He hustled and dominated every time he was on the ice. Good job Gawnezo. Ty, Gibby, Rude Dog each had an assist.

It was a great game in Dresden today. The Wallaceburg coach was impressed and  commented after the game with how our team came out to play. Clarky had an awesome game in net. Daniel had 3g 2a, Ty had 3g 1a, Corky had 1g 2a, Gawnezo had 1g 1a, Ian P. 3a, Rude Dog, Brody, and Emerson each had an assist. Daniel was crowned r. King of the game. He had a Hat trick but also did a great job back checking. Congratulations Daniel.
