PeeWee White, 2015-2016 (Dresden Minor Hockey)

What a great finish to our season this past weekend. We won our final 2 games against Mooretown Black and South Kent Lightning. The Coaching staff was really impressed with and proud of how the whole team played on the weekend. Keep up the good work and let's carry this momentum into the playoffs.

It was another epic battle between the 2 Dresden rivals. It was a scoreless first period with both goalies making some great saves. It was back and forth second period with both teams scoring 2 goals each. We both scored a goal early in the third then the Maroon team scored 3 quick goals in a 2:18 span to take the win. Fraser Had a goal and an assist. Conner and Gabe had a goal each and Daniel and Rory had an assist each. Ben VanDamme was crowned Jr. King of the game. It was his first game in PeeWee and he did very well. Congrats Ben.

We got back in the win column on Sunday with a 6 - 2 win over the Bullets. Xavier, Gabe and Conner all had a goal and 2 assists. Daniel and Fraser each had a goal with the Captain's being the game winner. Adam rounded out the scoring with 2 assists. Adam was crowned Jr. King of the game. He played tough and made some sweet passes. Congratulations Adam.

It was a close game in Dresden. West Lorne scored late in the first and early in the second to take a 2 - 0 lead. Dresden scored a goal late in the second and that's where it stayed until late in the third and West Lorne scored an insurance goal late in the third. We pulled Pickz for the extra attacker and scored to get within 1. We pulled him again after the next face-off and had some chances to tie it up but they scored an empty netter to put it away. Rory and Gabe were the goal scorers with helpers from Emerson, Conner and Fraser. Rory was crowned Jr. King of the game. Congratulations ...

It was a rough game in Petrolia on Monday. Not for a lack of effort by the kids we came up short. We had a 1 - 0 lead after the first period. It got a little chippy in the second. We were assessed a bunch of penalties and played most of the second with at least 1 person in the box. At one time we had 3 in the box.  They took advantage of their opportunities and scored 5 on us in the second. There was no scoring in the third. Daniel scored the lone goal from Gabe. Xavier was crowned as Jr. King of the game. He played a great game for his first appearance as our AP. Congrats X. Keep up the good ...
