As Dresden Minor Hockey recognized 70 years of organized puck this year, we were reminded of the friendships that last a lifetime as Jarvis Cook and family were present to celebrate with us as a member of the very first team! Much has changed since the humble beginnings on Molly's Creek, Jackson Park or the old Dresden Arena, and much looks to change in the very near future. The Ontario Hockey Federation's (OHF) opening of residential boundaries will change how hometown hockey looks. What we can do as a small town Association is plan the best possible programming for our kids within the parameters set forth by Hockey Canada, the OHF and the OMHA. Gone are the days of signing up on a wooden table at Knechtel's! To do this, we have set up multiple registrations as follows:
1. Local League registration - A private registration link has been sent to all Jr. Kings registered this season. For those who wish to register for Local League in U5-U18 and NOT attend tryouts, register using the link. The intent of this is to guarantee programming with adequate numbers for our current players. More details are in the e-mail.
2. U9 MD and U11-U15 Rep Tryout Registration - This link is now live on our website under "Registration" and is open to anyone looking to register for DMHA Spring Tryouts. 3. Prep Skates - This link was e-mailed to current U11-U15 DMHA players wanting to attend spring tryouts as these are the only groups eligible to attend. Prep skates begin Monday, April 7th.
