Dresden Minor Hockey Tobacco and Cannabis Policy

No DMHA participant (player, team official, on-ice official or off-ice official) may use or consume tobacco or cannabis products, chewing tobacco, smokeless tobacco or e-cigarettes (vaping) during any league, playoff, exhibition or tournament game or practice (on or off ice), or team function, sanctioned by Dresden Minor Hockey.

Any DMHA participant found to be in contravention to this policy shall be:

1st offence – Removed from all DMHA activities for a period of 7 days.
2nd offence – Removed from all DMHA activities for a period of 28 days.
3rd offence – Referred to the DMHA Executive for review.

*Please note that it is against the law to use these products within the arenas of the
Municipality of Chatham-Kent, further retribution with a maximum fine
of $5000 and removal of arena privileges may occur irrespective of
Dresden Minor Hockey’s policy.
