Lambton-Kent Community Sports Field Broasted Chicken Dinner
The next LK Community Sports Field fundraiser is this Friday night at the Dresden Legion...they are hosting a broasted chicken dinner from 5-7. Since we have practice from 5:30 - 6:20 they will ensure that fresh chicken will be available immediately at 5pm and 7pm so that we can participate. Please come out if you're able and support this great cause. Tickets must be purchased in advance at McKellar's Flowers, Ellis Motors, Jackson Seeds, or the LKSC main office.
I also want to take the opportunity to say what a great game the kids played last night! South Kent Lightning 2 was a tough opponent, but we rallied back; and I think everyone had a lot of fun.
Please remember that we have practice on Friday night at 5:30pm, a game against Wallaceburg Lakers 2 at 10:30am on Saturday in Wallaceburg and then a game the next Friday night (Oct 16th) in lieu of practice against the West Lorne Comets in West Lorne at 6pm.
One final thing I should have mentioned before, but if your player is unable to make either practice or a game please let me know in advance either in person or send me a text (519-365-7830). Also, I tried to capture everyone's cell phone numbers a few weeks ago for the purpose of short notice communication (e.g., game cancellations, etc.), but I think a few people game me their home phone numbers instead. Please check in with me at practice or on Saturday to make sure I have your cell number.
